Northern Beaches Hospital Clinical Trial Nurse

Thanks to the fight for a cure community we were able to provide funding for a cancer clinical trials nurse at the Northern Beaches Hospital in 2022. This funding has allowed the cancer clinical trial program to be set up and is now self funding. Allowing Northern Beaches cancer patients access to worldwide treatments close to home.

Antonia Pearson Oncology Clinical Trial Lead at Northern Beaches Hospital said "Clinical trials are an important way for local beaches patients to be able to access cutting edge anti cancer medicines and other interventions to help support patients during their cancer treatment and beyond. It means the world to patients and their families to have this vital research close to home without the need for travel all over Sydney. As local oncologists, we are so pleased to be able to offer this service to our patients and to bring local and international research within our reach."
